Monica-The war started in April 19,1775.It lasted eight years. They had a war because in 1765 the British passed the Stamp Act.They fighted at night.The Americans did not like the idea of the Stmp Act.
Lissette-Americans got mad because they did not want the Stamp Act. The Stamp Act taxed all printed materials.Like news papers, stamps, and playing cards.But America objected.The Americans did not want to do it.The British people got mad.
Monica-The Britain told the colonists to help pay for the war.The tax was that the people had to pay for the government. The colonists thought it was unfair.The Americans did not want to do that either.
Lissette-The colonists couldn’t say no. They thought British was going to take them to prism. So they helped them pay for the war.
Monica-In the revolutionary war there was men fighting. But there was also women on the war as well. There was more than 100 people in the war. Many Americans and Britain people died.There was morer than 200 people in the revolutionary war.Lot's and lot's of people died in the war.
Lissette-Women that were in the war helped soldiers that were in need. Women got water, food, and clothing for the soldiers. The women were nurses. The women took care of the men that were injured.The soldiers were thankful that they women took care of them when they were injured.
Monica-When the war had ended Americans won.Americans were not ruled by British anymore. The Americans won victories in Virginia and North Carolina. British were very mad and sad that they did not have to command the Americans. It was on July 4.It is on independence day.
Lissette-On July 4 they celebrated that they could be Independent.Untill this day we celebrate we are not ruled by British anymore.
